New Injury/Complaint

The Kiosk questions include the option for a patient to indicate they have a new complaint. Making that selection starts a sequence of questions about that new complaint, which are then available for review in EHR.

The new complaint is indicated on the Stack as a Red + Sign.

Have the front desk team member pre-screen to identify new complaints to prevent patients from having to respond to the extra questions if, in fact, the complaint is actually an extension of their current complaint.

When the Visit Summary is opened, an indicator appears on the Review New Complaint tab and information about the complaint is summarized next to it.

Click the Review New Complaint tab or on the description of the complaint that is underlined to review.

There are three options in response to the new complaint:

  1. Accept the new complaint and click Resolve Previous Complaints to focus treatment exclusively on the new complaint
  2. Click Merge All Complaints, which adds the new complaint to the patient's case
  3. Click Delete This Complaint and document it as part of the existing complaint

Resolve Previous Complaints

Click Resolve Previous Complaints will ask "You are resolving the following complaints : cervical musculature. Are you certain you would like to continue?"

Click Yes to Resolve the current complaints or No to not Resolve and Merge

Merge All Complaints

Merges Complaints with the Current Complaints

Delete This Complaint

Click Delete This Complaint will ask you " Are you certain you would like to delete the complaint "left wrist"?

Click Yes to Delete or No to either Merge or Resolve
