Entering Patient Information

This article will walk you through completing the patient Edit Information.

Patient Menu

The Patient menu box will have the Patient Account Prefix with their name and date of birth at the top.  It will be broken down into three sections Appointment, Patient and Financial. The buttons within those sections are in alphabetical order.

Edit Information

When a patient uses the kiosk, the kiosk will ask for a photo of your patient which then will appear here so you can see the patient along with their name.

Demographic Information

You can manually enter the patients demographic information or when they sign in using the kiosk, any of the information that is missing will be asked of the patient to fill in.

Everything you type will be a save as you go

Additional Information

Some of the additional information will already be filled in from when you have created the New Patient initially.  Anything else that is left you can populate manually.

Communications

When the patient signs into the kiosk for the first time, they will be asked how they would prefer their Appointment Reminders, Text Message Communication and Email Communication.  In addition they can select if they would like to receive additional communication from the office.

Please note that a patient has to opt in for texting either on the kiosk, the Patient Portal or by texting the word HEALTH to your opt in number.  You will not be able to select text from this screen.

Account Status

Active: if you uncheck Active you can put a reason for the patient being inactive. They will appear grey on a patient search to let you know they are inactive

In Collections: You can mark this if they patient owes you money. Their name will appear a pink color if you search for the patient to let you know they are in collections.

Patient PIN: This is created on the check in kiosk which is only used at this moment to sign in someone with the same or similar name and matching date of birth.

Statements

This is where you can specifically set the patients preferred method of receiving their statements.

Stats

These stats will automatically fill in once charges have been entered and Future Appts have been added.

Categories

You can add Categories under the System Set Up and is used for reporting purposes.

Patient Utilities

Adding insurance for a patient is found here as well as adding a case.  

You only want to add a New Case if you are keeping the patients notes separate ie; Insurance and Auto.  Auto and Cash.
