HSWorx SHI (Spinal Health Index)

Updated on

The SHI shows a numerical and visual representation of dysfunction in the MAPS indicators. The SHI findings are for showing a patient what that is optimal vs. measurable loss.  You can utilize the SHI in the NP exam, ROF as well as Progress Exams.

Finding the SHI in the Doctor summary

You can also access the SHI off the little Dr icon on the top left hand corner

The SHI interface opens which some of the information will automatically populate through different sections of the note

Make sure when completing your New Case History that for each complaint you select the Region (SHI).  This will then determine what information pulls through to the SHI.

If you leave the Region (SHI) blank, the information will not show on the SHI screen.

Mobility

Mobility consists of Range of Motion and the Dysfunctional Segments.  Range of Motion comes from the most severe loss in the Range of Motion section.  Dysfunctional Segments come from the most severe from the Palps/Obs screen.

Mobility and Stability are scored out of 30 and the Alignment and Pain out of 20 since Mobility and Stability are emphasis of Chiropractic care.

Alignment

Your Postural Orientation and Degeneration comes from the Worst Postural Distortion findings in the Posture Tab.

Pain

Stability

Stability comes from the HSMS, Orthopedic Tests and Neurological Testing Tab.
