Billing Tertiary Claims

There are certain obstacles in billing Tertiary claims which we avoid with a work around so you can bill them electronically.  However, you still want to confirm with the individual payer they accept tertiary billing electronically.  Some carriers will only accept paper claims with the Primary and Secondary EOB.

You will bill out claims to the Primary Insurance.  Once you receive the Primary insurance EOB and it has been applied, the claims will then get sent out to the Secondary insurance.  Once you have received the Secondary insurance EOB and it has been applied, you will change the Secondary Insurance to the Tertiary insurance.

Since everything has been billed and payment received from both the original Primary and Secondary Insurances, you will use the charge review to update the Bill To and Status of the charges with the changes you have made.
