Palpation/Observations is the first of the four examination windows. Taking the time to set it up for your practice and understanding how to use the shortcut buttons reduces the amount of time spent documenting visits. Once established during the exam, these findings can be copied into the Visit, where they can be modified to reflect the specific findings for a visit.

Link Adjustment and Technique Defaults
If the Link Adjustment box is checked, when you click a box under Fixation, the Adjustment is added automatically.
Setting techniques during the exam carries over into the Treatment Plan and Visit, even if no treatment is performed during the exam visit

Click the Listing column to select.
Link Spinal Palpation
Clicking Link Spinal Palpation automatically documents Fixation, Pain/Tend, and Spasm together.
Severity Selector on the left chooses the default value for Fixation, Pain/Tend, Spasm, Palpations, and Observations. Either click the predominant severity on the left before making selections or click multiple times in a box to cycle through severity: None, Severe, Moderate or Mild and WNL.
With Link Spinal Palpation checked, you can click to change all severities by clicking the Fixation box. If you want to change one section's severity, for example, Pain/Tend, click that box specifically to change it to the correct value.
Show Labels if checked will show S for Severe, MOD for Moderate, MILD for Mild, and WNL for Within Normal Limit. Unchecked Show Labels will only show indicator colors.
For clarity in documentation, only choose segments specific to the patient's condition. This makes it easier to follow the patient's story and progress when reviewing the notes.
