New Care Calculator/Care Plan Setup

Setting up Templates for Treatment Plan and Care Plan

  1. Description - Describes which template is selected.
  2. Treatment Plan Tab - The information selected on this template will be pre-loaded and pulled into the treatment plan when selected.
  3. Care Plan - this tab can be used to create the template Care Plan.
  4. Stage of care for the template.
  5. The frequency and duration for the template.
  6. Medical Necessity selections where you can check what is there or you can add your own.
  7. Chiropractic CPT will be used for this template.
  8. Selection of Therapeutic Modalities which includes Time/Units as well as CPT.
  9. Therapeutic Exercises that will be used for the template.
  10. Recommended Products you wish to add.

Adding a Template

If you are changing the Unites per Visit under the Therapeutic Exercises, you will receive a box that asks if you want to make this change in the Care Plan template as well.

Care Plan copies from the Treatment Plan Template initial setup

Setting up Product & Services for Cash and DMPO (Discount Medical Plan Organization)

Under Utilities - System Set Up - General - Products and Services - Fee Schedule

Under Utilities - System Set up - General - Products and Services

  1. DMPO - Setup for DMPO Name, %, and Per Visit Cap
  2. PCP - Check mark if you want it to show on the Primary Care Plan
  3. Chusa/Apex Fee - The DMPO price you are charging the patient
  4. Disc% - Check if this Service or Product is using the DMPO Discount Percentage
  5. Exc. Cap - Check mark if the Service or Product is Exempt from the DMPO Cap  

Setup both Products and Services with the correct DMPO Fee and check marks in the PCP, Disc %, and Exc. Cap columns for the Care Calculator and Plan to calculate correctly!

Setup for Insurance Care Calculator

Under Utilities - System Set up - Care Plan - Ins. Coverage CPT Codes is where you will set up what you will see in the Insurance Coverage Details in the patient Insurance tab - Coverage

You can click the Section name and change to what you want to show.

Adding a new CPT Code

Delete CPT Code

Licensed Physical Therapist

Check mark PT if you have a Licensed Physical Therapist to show PT questions on the Insurance Coverage

Utilities - System Setup - Billing - Providers

PT box Checked - questions will show in Coverage

If PT is unchecked questions will not show
