Auto Accident History

Auto Accident History questions are designed to help build the narrative should the case get litigated. The questions are asked via the kiosk. The level of detail required means there are a lot of questions. Helping patients understand why the answers are important can reduce the frustration they might otherwise feel. The regular new complaint questions follow the accident-specific ones, creating a comprehensive view of the patient's experience.

When an existing patient checks in, a question asking about new injuries appears. Auto accident questions are also available for new patients. The front desk person can choose Auto Accident from the kiosk interface. Either access method leads the patient through questions about the accident followed by new patient or new injury questions.

Questions lead the patient through specifics that help you understand what happened and which help you build a narrative, should one be required.

EHR Perspective - Visit Summary

The Yellow Dot alerts you to the new complaint. The Reason for Encounter also reflects the new complaint.

Click Review New Complaint to see information about the complaint. Click the Auto Accident button to review details about the accident. Follow up with the patient for missing details or clarification.
